Amazing prices! I couldn’t believe the price for value, it feels like any other Wehrenberg, AMC theater of the 2000-2015 era, before the new generation of posh, overpriced luxury theaters. Have gone multiple times since 2018, a very clean theater great for young and old alike. Great values on snacks. All the whiners and complainers can pay $20+ per ticket, buh-byeee! Also, the St. Andrew’s Dollar Cinema in St. Charles has reopened after years, it’s been around since the 1960s. Please support our local businesses!
The ceiling was literally leaking in the seat next to me. Floor soaking wet and the box office staff rude because I wanted to switch seats. Again nasty attitude from concessions because I didn't know the Tuesday deal didn't apply after a holiday? I will never return the review score is Extremely misleading.
Was a very warm and humid day but the theater smelled a bit overpowering. The handrail in the theater feels really sticky and brings pause to eating popcorn where you need to use your hands. A good wipe down is definitely in order. I didn't specify which show I saw, I'm sure all handrails are the same. Shut down on your slowest day or shuffle movies around to accommodate a good cleaning. This, I'm certain would boost attendance.
1 Star for Marcus Town Square Cinema
Our experience at Marcus Town Square Cinema was quite disappointing. The theater itself had an unpleasant odor, and the seats were uncomfortably sticky.
While we didn't expect state-of-the-art facilities, we were willing to overlook the outdated decor. However, the screen size left much to be desired, and we were unfortunate to be seated near extremely disruptive individuals.
In fact, the noise and commotion were so disruptive that we decided to leave halfway through the movie and returned home to freshen up.
In hindsight, the lower ticket prices should have been a warning sign. We've learned our lesson and will stick to our usual theater in the future."
I went with my daughter to see the Barbie movie. The movie was good, the popcorn was good and the overall cleanliness of the theater was good. They have a small arcade there too. The only drawback is it only accepts cash. We had no cash and there wasn't an ATM so we had to pass on the arcade. The theater is in need of some revamping as it looks worn and outdated. But, overall it was a good time and clean!
It's decent. Like movie ticket prices. Food high, though. Wish they had reclining seats.
The popcorn and other food were delicious. The theater was clean and the chairs were very comfortable.
This theatre is pretty nice, however it desperately needs remodeling. The seating in particular is super uncomfortable, and I feel like it would be much more beneficial to update to the luxury recliners that are in practically every other Marcus theatre. Overall, though, it's a decent theatre.
